Pizza To Go has been serving up delicious pies since 1981, when my grandparents, Ray and Donnabel Geckley, took a leap of faith and opened Marengo’s very first pizza shop at 1 S. Main Street. Their philosophy was simple: great food at a fair price. They built a strong foundation of quality and community until my mom, Kim Clark, took over in 1996. Under her leadership, Pizza To Go grew and eventually moved to its current location—complete with a parking lot and drive-up window—to keep up with demand.
I’ve been part of Pizza To Go since my high school days, and in 2018, I started learning the ins and outs of running the business. When Mom decided to "semi-retire," my husband and I jumped at the chance to carry on the family tradition. If you're used to seeing her friendly face, don’t worry—she’s still here a few days a week because, let’s be honest, she’s not ready to fully retire just yet!
Yes, there are new owners, and yes, you might see a few modern touches, but one thing will never change—our commitment to serving the same high-quality food and customer service you know and love. That’s a promise.
We’re grateful for this community, and we can’t wait to keep making your favorite pizzas for years to come!
At Pizza To Go, we believe being part of the community means more than just serving great pizza—it means showing up for the people who support us. As a family-owned business, we're proud to give back in ways that make a meaningful difference.
Each year, we support the next generation of farmers by purchasing livestock from 4H members at the Morrow County Junior Fair. We also proudly sponsor the Highland Sports Associations, helping local youth get involved in softball, baseball, and soccer. Our commitment to community continues with Highland High School Athletics, where we love cheering on our hometown teams.
When the Red Cross holds events at the Marengo United Methodist Church, we’re happy to provide pizza to keep volunteers and donors going strong. We also donate pizza to local youth retreats and church camps, knowing that food has a special way of bringing people together during moments of growth, faith, and connection.
This is our home and you are our people. We’re honored to play a small part in the big things happening in and around Morrow County. From our family to yours—thank you for letting us be part of your lives.
